Hazen’s OASIS model provides flexibility and speed in testing model scenarios without sacrificing model confidence. 

Verify Scenario Impact

The OASIS model allowed ARC to quickly test a broad range of scenarios, see which ones could impact stakeholders based on historic hydrology data, and confidently share those results in negotiations.

Reach Consensus

The OASIS model showed that key river flow targets could be met even in severe droughts. Seeing those results verified in the agreed-upon HEC-ResSIM model boosted stakeholders’ confidence.

HEC-ResSIM

ARC shared its top models from OASIS so that USACE and State of Georgia engineers could import them into Reservoir System Simulation (ResSIM) software, which was developed by the USACE and served as the official modeling platform for negotiations.
